Edited by: Dr. Yasmin Ahmad Amin, Dr. Ahmed M. F. Abd-Elsalam
Proceedings of the Conference "Discussing Interdependencies Women and Families across Religions: Narratives – Norms – Ethics", May 3-5 2024, Akhawayn University, Ifrane, Marrocco
Under the title "Women and Families across Religions: Narratives - Norms - Ethics", discuss researchers from Germany, Egypt, Lebanon, Tunisia and Algeria on the topic of women and families in times of social change with Moroccan colleagues. In addition to stories about female figures in the Holy Scriptures (e.g. Lilith in the Torah), the focus of interest is also on female actors in the religious tradition, including the wives of the Prophet Mohammed. Perspectives on the situation in the present and the tasks of religions for successful coexistence in a pluralistic society can be found in abundance.
