Bernhard Lewin

Beirut 1966, 230 pp., german text

In this work, Bernhard Lewin analyses sound recordings made by Mrs. Ḥācce ʾĀṣṣār in 1961 and 1962. On the basis of Heinz Grotzfelds assumptions on phonology and morphology, he explains the characteristics of the dialects of Hama.

Bernhard Lewin was associate professor at the University of Uppsala.
