Our research affiliate, Mounir Zahran, published an essay titled “Beirut, Hauptstadt gebrochener Erinnerungen” (Beirut, Capital of Broken Memories) in the November issue of Merkur.

The essay reflects on the overlapping and contradictory memory cultures of Beirut.
