On December 8, 2024, the Syrian people won a long battle against oppression by toppling the Assad regime.
Thousands of Syrians took up the streets chanting “Assad fell, long live our country”.
To commemorate this historic moment that ended 54 years of oppression, we asked those who witnessed it to send us photographs they have taken.
This exhibition marks a transitory but unforgettable moment with all that it holds from hope and relief to fear and pain.
We thank all those who shared with us their photographs, and hope for a future free from oppression, everywhere.
