Typologie des persischen Volksmärchens
The publication of Prof. Marzolph deals with the typology of Persian folk tales. The author illustrates former works on Persian tales and illustrates the disposition, as well as the linguistic characteristics, of the tales in Iran.
In the second part of his publication, Prof. Marzolph classifies the Persian folk tales into several subdivions of folk tales, such as legend tales, magician tales and droll stories.
Prof. Ulrich Marzolph is Professor for Islamic Studies at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen. His research focuses on narrative culture of the Islamic Middle Eastern countries.
