The Bibliotheca Islamica (al-Našarāt al-Islāmiyya), established by Hellmut Ritter in Istanbul, offers critical editions of Arabic sources. These include reference texts on history, prosopography, literature, and theology, including Sufism. Since 1992, Muhammad al-Hujairi has been copyediting these works at the OIB. Bibliotheca Islamica is published in collaboration with the German Oriental Society (Deutsche Morgenländische Gesellschaft).

Bibliotheca Islamica's distibutors are  the Klaus Schwarz Verlag for Europe and Muassat ar-Rayan for the Middle East. Single copies can be also purchased in the Orient-Institut.



In der einst von Hellmut Ritter in Istanbul gegründeten Serie Bibliotheca Islamica (an-Našarāt al-Islāmiyya) werden wichtige arabische Quellentexte auf Grundlage einer wissenschaftlichen Edition der Fachwelt zur Verfügung gestellt.
